Our Mission

Vote YES RCAPS Bond 2025 is focused on enhancing school opportunities by passing a local school bond to improve the infrastructure of Reed City Area Public Schools. Join us in creating a better educational environment for our community.

Our goal is to provide valuable information about the upcoming bond, highlighting the benefits it will bring to the school and the students. Together, we can make a significant impact on the future of education in our area.

- Remodel of 1954 portion of GT Norman Elementary - K-2 Wing

 

- Safer site circulation with dedicated Bus and Parent Loops

 

- Relocated Baseball field - safer design and ability to host district events

 

- Relocated Softball Field to former Baseball

 

- New drops-off entry "Promenade" for all students

 

- New Main (secure) Entry for HS and MS buses and drop-off for students

 

- New Competition Gym, 1400 seats, 2 stations 84' basketball court, 94' competition court, and 2 lane walking track also used for bleacher access

 

- New Concession with views of Gym for Boosters, supports Gym and PAC events

 

- New Spirit Store adjacent entry with shopping display case and selling hours at overhead door

 

- New Performing Arts Center (inside existing gym volume) with seating of 686-743 depending on floor-to-floor

 

- New Performing Arts Center Lower Bowl seating area of 1500sf dug out 21" deep allows for ADA wheelchair access to stage without ramp

 

- New Performing Arts Center Control Booth and Green Room

 

- New Dressing Rooms convert to Team Rooms for Gym events

 

- New Team Rooms (6 total), with one toilet each including a shower

 

- New 4700sf Fitness Center with views to Gym, and a toilet- New Wrestling Room

 

- New Trainer Room off Gym and shared Laundry- New Officials Room off Gym

 

- New Athletic Storage Rooms off Gym, including one designed for Football needs

 

- New open Cafeteria with seating 240+, and used as pre/post function space for Gym and Performing Arts Center

 

-The new shared conference room also accommodates School Board Meetings

 

- New HS Kitchen and Serving Lines

 

- New Loading Dock and Dumpster Enclosure serving Kitchen and building Receiving Areas

 

- New Band Room in existing Cafeteria- New Band support spaces for student instruments, uniforms, and practice, in the existing Kitchen

 

- New student benches and display cases designed for circulation

 

- New Media Center to be re-envisioned into a smaller space

 

- Improved HS/MS Corridor Connection

 

- Existing HS/MS Office spaces could be used for Counseling and Teacher Work Rooms, if desired
